The first step is to determine which visa type you need, and check whether you’re eligible to apply for it.
You’ll also need to know the documents that you’ll have to submit along with your application, how long the application might take and fees you’ll have to pay.
Each application must comply with the guidelines applicable for your visa category.
If your documents are not in English , you may need to get translations prepared before applying.
Once you are ready to apply, you can download the visa application form, complete it, print the complete form and bring it with you to the Visa Application Centre (together with the documents required for the Visa category chosen) for submission.
Once you have filled your visa form, you need to book an appointment.
Once you’ve booked your appointment, you’ll receive an appointment confirmation email along with the letter of appointment.
If you are part of a family or group, you’ll have to book individual appointments for each member of the family or group.
Once you have made your application, you will need to pay your visa application fee. If you download the form to print and bring to the Visa Application Centre, payment can be made at the time of your appointment.
Visa fee and service fee needs to be paid in the application Centre with the use of POS only.
You’ll have to submit your completed visa application form at the Visa Application Centre in person.
You will receive an email update when your decision has been returned to the Visa Application Centre. If you can’t access email easily, or would like more detailed tracking information, you may also be able to get updates by SMS sent directly to your phone. Check whether this service is available at the Visa Application Centre you are visiting.
You can also track your visa application status online. Use the Reference Number present on the invoice/receipt issued by the Korea Visa Application Centre along with your last name to access this service.
After a visa application decision has been made, you can pick up your documents/ passport from the Visa Application Centre or have your documents returned to you by courier based on the mode of delivery opted by the customer at the time of submission of Visa Application.
Documents which need to be submitted if documents / passports are collected by the customers himself:
- Original ICR
- Governmental ID proof original and copy
Documents which need to be submitted if documents / passports are collected other than customers:
- Original ICR
- Authorization letter of the customer
- Customer ID copy of customer & authorized presentative
- If Father needs to collect the passport / documents of their children’s authorization letter from the mother is required along with the childbirth certificate and ID copy of the father & mother
Please be informed the mode of delivery opted by the customer at the time of submission of visa application will not be changed post submission of Visa Application.
The processed documents/ passports that are received from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nigeria needs to be collected from VFS within 30 days. If the documents/ passports are not collected from VFS within 30 days; they will be returned to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nigeria with an email notification to the customers. The customers thereafter would be requested to get in touch with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nigeria with regards to their passport collection procedures.
